The practical details
- Search with your full dates. A rental of 15 days, a month or longer is priced as one trip, so you compare totals, not a daily rate you have to multiply.
- Every required cover and tax is in the price you see. Anything payable at the counter, like an extra driver, is shown before you book.
- On a long trip the deductible matters more, because there are more days on the road. Keep the standard deductible or reduce it at checkout; the price of each option is shown before you pay.
- No change fees from us. Your updated trip is priced at the current rate. Changes within 7 days of pickup follow the rental company's terms.
Common pitfalls
- Booking several short rentals back to back. Each is a separate pickup and return; one booking for your real dates is simpler.
- Picking the smallest car for weeks of driving. Luggage space and comfort count on a long trip; compare the total for the next size up.
- Leaving cover to the last minute. Decide on your deductible before you go, while every option is in front of you.
