US credit card cover on a London luxury rental
Your price already includes the rental company's comprehensive insurance. If the car is damaged or stolen, you pay up to the car's deposit amount for each incident, including the days the car can't be rented while it's repaired. There's no option to reduce it. Damage from careless use isn't covered at all and is paid in full, for example hitting a low bridge or barrier, the wrong fuel, or lost keys. Many US credit cards leave exotic, high-value or luxury cars out of their rental cover, so check with your card issuer before you count on it.
