How much is the deposit on a luxury car rental in London?
It depends on the car: from £2,000 (est. $2,700) for the Mercedes CLA and E-Class to £15,000 (est. $20,200) for the Rolls-Royce Ghost and Ferrari 296 GTB. Prestige Collection holds it on a credit or debit card at pickup (debit cards go through extra checks) and releases it after the car is returned and checked. There's no option to reduce it.
The details
- What it's for: damage, including excessive tire and clutch wear, and the days the car can't be rented while it's repaired, up to the deposit amount for each incident. Fuel and extra miles are charged separately.
- Careless use: damage from careless use isn't covered at all, for example hitting a low bridge or barrier, the wrong fuel, or lost keys. You pay it in full.
- After an accident: the deposit stays on hold until the insurance side is settled.
- Cards: a credit or debit card (debit cards go through extra checks).
- Reducing it: there's no option to reduce it. niftirent's own cover options don't apply to these cars.
