- Driving outside the UK needs the operator's written OK, at least 24 hours' notice and extra fees. Taking the car to France or Europe.
How booking works
- Choose a car and your dates, at least 4 days (96 hours) before pickup. You'll see the price in your currency, plus the deposit, miles and age for that car, before you pay.
- Request it. Your card is held, not charged. You're charged only when the operator confirms your car, and we'll email you as soon as they do.
- Send your driver details. We'll ask for your driver's license and passport, plus anything else the operator asks for, at least 72 hours before pickup.
- Collect the car or have it delivered. The operator checks your license, holds the deposit and walks you through the car.
- Return it on time with the same fuel level. You get 59 minutes' grace, then an extra day is charged. If the tank is lower, refueling is charged at 2.5 times the local pump price, at least £4.50 a liter.
