From the gate to your car
- Clear immigration and grab your bags. Don't call the shuttle before you have your luggage.
- Tap the link in your text message. It arrives about 24 hours before pickup, so make sure the mobile number on your booking works in Australia (or that you'll have Wi-Fi when you land).
- Request the shuttle. The driver replies with directions to the meeting point.
- Pick up your car at the desk. Bring your driver's license and the credit card in the main driver's name. You see your car, cover and total before you pay, so there's nothing new to decide at the counter unless you want to.
Landing on a long-haul flight
- Many flights from North America land early in the morning, so set your pickup time after the desk opens and leave room for immigration, bags and the shuttle.
- Arriving late? The last shuttle runs 30 minutes before the desk closes. If your flight lands after that, book pickup for the next morning; the search shows you the times that work.
- Driving's on the left in Australia. If you're jet-lagged, it's fine to take it slow on the first drive. Driving on the left: the basics.

What do I need at the counter?
Your driver's license and a credit card in the main driver's name, whichever cover you choose. It holds the security deposit shown on your booking. Prepaid and virtual cards aren't accepted. US and Canadian licenses are accepted; if your license isn't in English, bring an International Driving Permit or an official English translation with it.
Can I add a second driver?
Yes. Add them when you book, up to 3 extra drivers per car. Each extra driver must be 21 or older and bring their own driver's license to pickup. The fee is est. US$8 (A$11) a day per driver, capped at est. US$38 (A$55) per driver for the rental, paid at the rental counter at pickup, and it's shown before you pay.
Are there toll roads near Brisbane Airport?
Yes. Brisbane has electronic toll roads, and there are no cash booths. Any tolls you drive through are billed to you after the rental at cost plus an est. US$0.76 (A$1.10) admin fee per toll.

At least 48 hours before pickup. If your pickup is sooner, the search shows the first pickup time we can book, with one tap to see those cars.
