Good to know
- Age. The minimum age is 21. Drivers 21 to 24 pay a young-driver fee at the rental counter at pickup (A$16.50 (est. US$12) a day), not included in the online price.
- Deductible. With standard cover the deductible on people movers and larger cars is A$6,600 (est. US$4,650); zero-deductible cover takes it to zero.
- Child seats. Request them when you book (subject to availability); they're paid to the rental company at pickup, and you fit them yourself. Child seats, explained
- Kilometers. Unlimited on nearly every car; Darwin rentals have a daily limit (100 km in small cars, 200 in larger cars).
