Book a rental car in your own currency
niftirent shows prices in your own currency on your first visit (US or Canadian dollars, Australian dollars, pounds or euros), and the currency menu changes it any time.
How we pick your currency
| Browsing from | Prices show in |
|---|---|
| Australia | A$ |
| The UK | £ |
| Canada | C$ |
| The euro area | € |
| Everywhere else | US$ |
The currency menu always wins.
What 'est.' means
When the rental company's local price is converted to your currency, the amount is marked est., because exchange rates move.
Words that match where you're from
In US or Canadian dollars you'll read 'deductible'; in other currencies, 'excess'. Same cover, same amount.
Amounts paid at pickup
Amounts paid at pickup (like a young driver fee) are in the local currency at the counter.
What you'll be charged
Yes. Pick US$ in the currency menu and you're charged in US dollars: the total at checkout is the exact amount charged. Anything paid at the counter is in A$, so we show those amounts as est. US$. If your card is in a different currency, your bank may add its own conversion fee.
